Established in 1995, SONIX Research specialised in providing design and consulting services to the audio-visual and telecommunications community, covering everything from manufacture of small hardware devices and software programming to design and project management of complete installations.

During that time, the technology we work with has evolved significantly, sometimes with tremendous impact (both positive and negative) on the companies tasked with supplying this technology to the public. And unfortunately, some of the suppliers and implementers have had a difficult time keeping up with the directions that the technology is taking.

It is my intent here to provide some comments (or provide links to other pertinent information) on the apparent directions that the technologies we work with seem to be taking, and offer some guidance and insight into where we may all be a few years down the road.
